YKNM started outta love. Love for everything that is the foundation of music and the culture behind it. I was around 5 years old walking around SF with my dads old Ipod nano, bumping Aesop Rock, Pharrel, Marvin Gaye and many more had me immersed in the culture before I even realized it. Making shitty, and I mean horrible playlists  throughout elementary school on my old spotify account showed me the potential I had to keep that up. The last thing I wanted was to keep that up. When Covid hit I was 15 and had nothing to do besides listen to music and workout. I was tired of the same old songs heard everywhere. I began to branch out, started collecting vinyl and cd. Rummaging around my dads old collection gave me some gems. Working on curated playlists for all sorts of moods only made the search for different music more exciting. Fast forward to now, YKNM has the hope to expand taste, put people on - including myself - and have fun talking about music, which has an invaluable price on society.
